De nos jours les problèmes économiques, environnementaux et sociaux doivent être considérés à l’échelle globale. Les changements climatiques, la pollution, les épidémies, l’épuisement des ressources et la violence ne s’heurtent pas aux frontières géographiques humaines. C’est maintenant le temps de faire la transition aux politiques vertes qui existent mondialement et ainsi créer une collaboration intergouvernementale pour aider nos communautés tout en aidant d’autres.
Cette tendance est pourtant bien amorcée en Europe où plusieurs députés verts ont été élus proportionnellement. En Allemagne, l’État du Baden-Wurttemberg aura selon toute vraisemblance Winfried Kretshmann comme le premier Ministre-Président vert. En Angleterre, Caroline Lucas, chef du Parti Vert et Vice-Présidente du la Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals a réussie à se faire élire dans un system de vote uninominal majoritaire à un tour. En Amérique du Nord, le Canada doit prendre les devants en ayant une forte représentation des verts pour mener un gouvernement écologique, responsable et compatissant en tout en visant la réduction de la souffrance humaine et animale.

In today’s rapidly globalizing world, environmental, economic and social problems need to be addressed on a larger scale. We must remember that climate change, pollution, epidemics, depleted resources and violence do not stop at manmade borders. It is time to make a shift towards green parties and politics, which exists throughout the world and create collaboration between governments so we can help our communities while helping others.
The shift towards green politics has already been made in countries across the world, especially Europe with numerous elected MPs. In Germany, the state of Baden-Württemberg will likely have Winfried Kretschmann as the first green Minister-President. In England, Caroline Lucas, Green Party Leader and Vice-President of Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has been elected through the First-Past-The-Post system. In North America, Canada should lead the way by having a strong green representation to build a more sustainable, compassionate, and environmentally friendly governing body while reducing human and animal suffering.
I recommend all residents of Rosemont-Petite-Partie to consult our Vision Green Policy document or communicate with me and get involved in the political change we must begin.
